"Buyer's Choice Act" (AB 957/Galgiani) Signed into Law
The Escrow Institute of California announced today that Governor Schwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill 957 into law. This bill protects consumers by ensuring that they have the right to choose their own real estate service providers when purchasing foreclosed properties.

Escrow Institute of California Protests Commissioner Garamendi Regulations
Sacramento, CA – The Escrow Institute of California (EIC) today joined hundreds of escrow professionals from around the state to protest Department of Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi’s proposed government regulations.
These regulations, announced by Commissioner Garamendi in July, could force hundreds of small, local businesses to close their doors and destroy thousands of local jobs by forcing them to arbitrarily reduce their rates by 27 percent. To view the complete pdf article, click HERE
